Requirements

• Educational Qualification: Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in the respective field or discipline from a recognized university or institution. The qualifying degree should meet the eligibility criteria specified for the chosen subject in the IIT JAM.
• Minimum Aggregate Marks: As per the IIT JAM eligibility criteria, candidates are often required to obtain a minimum aggregate score or CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) in their qualifying degree program. The specific minimum marks may vary for different categories (General/OBC/SC/ST/PwD).
• Nationality and Age Limit: Applicants must be Indian nationals. There is no age restriction to appear for the IIT JAM examination.
• Documents and Certificates: During the application process, candidates may need to provide essential documents such as mark sheets, certificates, category certificates (if applicable), and a valid government-issued ID for verification purposes.
